Comments: The salt mines of Cardona, with the salt mountain, a wold unique geological phenomenon, are part of the historical legacy of the municipalty. The industrial operation of this mine sinde 1923 was one of the pillars of the local economy till 1990. There is an interesing guided tour by the tunnels of the old salt mine where you can see many different types of salt (sodic, magnesic, etc).
