Passing of DX-Spots from LiveMuf to VQLog

Versión Española         Add this site to your Favourites             Twitter             Facebook      Telegram

With VQLog you can receive DX-Spots from several sources (WEB-Cluster, DX-Cluster, etc) and additionally filter only those meaning a new (or not confirmed) DXCC or locator for you.

Reception of DX-Spots can be made through LiveMuf or through  DXTelnet, that must be running simultaneously in the PC. Spots received by these programs are sent to VQLog via DDE for their processing.

NOTICE: Version 3.1 build 203 of VQLog implements the direct connection to DX-Cluster, so the use of DX-Telnet or Livemuf is no longer required to get the spots.

LiveMuf is a free program for MUF analysis based on DX-Spots and can be downloaded from http://www.g7rau.co.uk (look in the download section there). Please send your feedback and comments regarding LiveMuf to Dave, G7RAU

To activate the passing of DX-Spots from LiveMuf to VQLog simply:

  1. Run VQLog and go to "Configuration - Connection with DXTelnet" to activate the DX-Spot reception window.

  2. Run LiveMuf and go to "DXC - DDE". Make sure that the configured values are exactly as follows (Notice that they are case sensitive!)

  3. Tick the option "DDE enabled" to activate the passing of DX-Spots to VQLog. (Obviusly you will also have to configure the DX-Cluster connection with the "DXC - Settings" menu)

  4. Click the "Install driver"  button. It should download the driver from Internet and install it automatically.

As soon as LiveMuf receives a DX-Spot it will pass it to VQLog for processing and it will be shown in VQLog's DX-Spot window.
