Comments: The basin of the Gallocanta Lake is at the center of the Iberian system, between the province of Teruel and Zaragoza (very near Guadalajara), Spain. Endorheic basin is enclosed between the mountains of Santa Cruz and Pardos to the north, Menera sierra at the south and Caldereros sierra in the east. It is located 1000 m above sea level, it´s 7.7 km long and 2.8 km wide, has a maximum depth of 1.5 m, but not always have water, there are periods of rain and drought. In the area there are other smaller lakes such as Guialguerrero, La Zaida, Laguna (the Navajo del Prado de la Torre) and other minor. The whole forms an important stage for the passage of migratory birds.
