Update September 23, 2024: Tomorrow (Sept 24th) is my last day of operation from Zambia, going QRT around 19 UTC. I will then be heading to Botswana on the local morning of Sept 25th.
I’m getting very tired with only sleeping 2-3 hours daily since my arrival to Zimbabwe on the 2nd of Sept. I must take 2-3 days off at Botswana to recharge myself.
Here at Zambia there are about 8K QSOs in the log only. Lots of power interruptions during my operation. The other difficulty I have is an issue with my KPA-500. When I switch the PA to OPER the received signals are significantly attenuated making it impossible to copy weak CW signals. I don’t think I can fix it here, so have to manually switch it to STBY mode to hear the weak CW signals. So guys, heat up your PA if you want a CW contact from Botswana. Thank you for your understanding.
