Information

Update January 7, 2024: It’s seems to be major island power generator issue. We decided to finish activity and packing everything during the daylight. Thanks for all QSOs. We are moving to another one. Log will be uploaded when electricity back or when we return home. There is still a lot of QSOs not on Club Log yet. Just wait. Thank you. Rebel Team.

Update January 5, 2024: Finally for the first time 6m open here. Running 12 streams on 6m using 2 radios same frequency 50313.
Radio 1 set on 300khz upper filter cut on 1800khz
Radio 2 set on 1850khz and up, cutting everything below.
This system allows you to make 12 streams on same band and freq.
Making some. VK, ZL happy

Update December 19, 2023: We got permission from the land owners to keep antennas till January 12. 2024. So we decided to extend our stay and be on the air for another 3 weeks.

Update December 18, 2023: Just passing our former expedition digi qso's world record setting new one 117k+ and keep going. (we didn't even seriously start FT4 for this mode hunters. Usually about 20k contacts are made on FT4

Let's see

Update December 15, 2023: This night crab mafia took our 160m vertical from the ground. Was too windy last 3 days, 35knots of wind to keep this tiny pole up. So we put it down.. On the grass...
What a surprise this morning.. 20m long pole is gone... Yeah sure crabs took it..😂 No more 160 till we find somethig locally to make another one.

Update December 13, 2023: Over 85k qso's. Still massive trafic on all bands. We will start SSB soon. It looks like there will be a possibility for us to extend our stay in T32 land until Jan 12. We are just negotiating with land owners here.
44deg C today. 100% humidity
Please share with others who need T32
We are operating FT8 a different way then others.
We are sending streams on the same band, 2 different frequencies at the same time.
21.074 and 21.090
14.074 and 14.090
28.074 and 28.091
And so on
In this case non std. Freq are almost empty and gives you a much faster way to be in the log.

Around 6AM local time Dec 14th (4-5pm UTC Dec 13th ) whole digital activity will Move from FT8 for about 12h to FT4 mode for our testing purposes beofre we will start using on expedition mode.

All band and mode hunters be ready.

Expect multistream answers on FT4

We will answer just 2 times and will go to Cq call.

2 signals on same band with 4 to 5 khz split between them.

Ex. 21.140 and 21.145 you can avoid trafic using this system

14.080 and 14.085

And so on.

Check psk reporter where we will be TX ing.

Update December 12, 2023: We are trying to upload the log several times a day. There are about 15000 qso's not on clublog yet.
Local Internet not helping at all.

Update December 9, 2023: Almost all antennas in position. There are only 2 of us here, so everything takes time. 25 to 30 knots wind last days not helping to set low band verticals. We are running low power only 60 to 100w for another 2 days to work as many JA and West coast. This approach helps us a lot so as not to get more stations calling on top of each other. Europe, you will get strong signals soon. Don’t worry. Digi modes are a priority, a little CW already running, SSB will start soon.

There is an issue with uploading QSOs to the Club Log. For some reason the local internet provider sees that webpage as suspicious and does not let us do it an easy way. (We had the same issue on Tuvalu) Again, it takes so much time to do it. Currently over 45K QSOs after 3 days of activity.

Power cut on – off – on – off every few hours. Hotel voltage floating between 180V to 250V. 38 deg. C during the day and 28 deg at night. 100% humidity but a lot of fun as always. LoTW uploaded once back in Fiji.

Update December 7, 2023: Just part of the log is uploaded to the clublog now. We still working on antennas. Let's Hope all will go more smooth from tomorrow.

Update November 28, 2023: Preparation at full speed now. This will 90% digital activity (if you like it or not). We will do another software experiment to make more digi fans happy. Here’s what you can expect:

FT4 UP to 10 streaming signals on each band.
FT8 UP to 10 streaming signals.
You will be able to contact T32TT on normal mode and F/H mode using any software you wish. We will use dedicated FT8/FT4 frequencies and standard frequencies depending on traffic. Please check dx cluster for CW and ssb frequencies.

Activity will start on December 5th.

– 12 x Digi stations.
 – 2 x CW.
– 1 x SSB.

Hexbeam antennas, dipoles between the trees, Rebel multi element vertical systems. 1200w amplifiers will be used for most of the bands. More info soon.

Update November 10, 2023: T32TT East Kiribati is already accepted for DXCC awards. LoTW in progress. Activity from T32TT will take place starting from the first week of December 2023 for 3 or more weeks. Digimodes will be a priority plus CW and SSB on 160m to 6m.

Members of the Rebel DX Group will be QRV as T32TT from Kiritimati Island, in November 2023.
Active on HF Bands with focus on FT8, as from T22T.
