Update November 19, 2023: They went QRT at 1930z with over 55,000 QSO in the log.

Update November 17, 2023: Band conditions have not been so good recently on Marquesas. However, earlier today they arrived at 50,000 QSO with 2 days remaining of their DXpedition.

Update November 13, 2023: Four stations are active 24/7. Faced with a strong demand for all bands, all modes, we decided to install an additional antenna. A second log periodic is deployed, with the difficulty that the terrain imposes.

Update November 11, 2023: We monitor all high band openings very closely and seize all opportunities, especially in EU. It’s a lot more complicated for low bands. There’s practically no opening on 80m, and we have very strong local noise, sometimes S7-9. 

Update November 8, 2023: We are getting many requests for how to QSL for TX7L. The OQRS will be open on Club Log immediately after the end of the operation, so as to avoid situations where people work them, request a card, work them again somewhere else, and send email saying please include that card with the initial request. OQRS does not allow this. Also, we are getting many questions about why isn’t the DXpedition mode set for TX7L on Club Log. Michael (owner Club Log) has refused to set it up, so please address your complaints to him.

Update November 4, 2023: All the TX7L team are now on Hiva Oa island, Marquesas. Expect signals over the weekend once all stations set up and antennas assembled. 

Update November 3, 2023: The main part of the team will soon be departing Papeete for Hiva Oa.

Update October 31, 2023: QSL will be via F6EXV and ClubLog OQRS.

Update October 11, 2023: A team meeting took place recently and it was also confirmed that the 60m band will be used.

The Radio Club du Bassin Minier (RCBM) F6KJS, is organizing in November 2023 the biggest European DX'p that has ever existed in the Marquesas. "TX7L"
5 stations with amplifier and PC, (4 + 1 spare) hands-on, headsets, power supplies, connections, 13 antennas, masts, 800m of coax, measurement, tools, consumables, etc... All tidy in containers and large suitcases weigh 500Kg. 
Shipping times for sea freight are very long in the South Pacific, so we have to use air freight for a cost of around €8,000.

The big European and French DX Clubs and Foundation follow us, but to date in the absence of American aid, our budget is stretched.
